Field Service Engineer – MJP 3D Printer – Coimbatore

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment at customer locations across India. The role requires strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems along with the ability to provide prompt onsite support and ensure customer satisfaction. The engineer will coordinate with internal technical and support teams to ensure smooth service operations and adherence to company standards and safety procedures.

1. Installation & Commissioning

• Install, configure, and test equipment or systems at customer sites.
• Ensure proper commissioning and operational performance of installed systems.
• Conduct system inspections and verify installation quality standards.

2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Respond to service calls and breakdowns within defined timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and service activities.

3. Customer Support & Training

• Provide onsite technical support to customers.
• Train customers on the basic operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Address customer concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare service reports and maintain service documentation.
• Record spare-parts usage, calibration details, and maintenance logs.
• Update service activities regularly to the reporting manager.

5. Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with technical support, sales, and spare-parts teams for effective service execution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Maintain service tools, kits, and equipment in proper working condition.

• B.E. / B.Tech / ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with electrical tools such as multimeters and soldering irons.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as drilling and tapping tools.
• Proficiency in using PCs and relevant software applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Pan India locations.

• Experience in field servicing or technical support activities.
• Ability to work independently and manage onsite assignments efficiently.
• Understanding of safety standards and service procedures.
• Strong coordination and reporting skills.
